Last week I wrote about Record Store Day, asking, ‘is it possible that one event could be changing the way we buy music?’
For any musician, it’s a tough old world. What is good is that we’re being paid more for gigs, the live trade has seen a definite boost. On the flip side, you make a record, you press it, then it’s a bloody slog trying to get rid of all your physical copies. But still, we need those copies. I for one love buying a hard release, but I could be in the minority.
If you’re like me, you’ll be glad to know, in two weeks we’ll have CDs for sale. Winning.
